Races of the Realms

There are dozens of different races that make up the populace of the True Realms, and that's not even counting all the crossbreeds. Each is unique in its own way, and the examples given below are just a sampling of the most common species to inhabit the True Realms. The descriptions given below are vague generalizations and are not meant to limit the style in which the players wish to run their characters. You will need to choose a race before you create your character. Your character's race is the first building block on your way to entering the world of Mistrunner. The game of Mistrunner is an open ended gaming system, which means you can easily add new races or play one of the various monster races.

Each race is broken down into different categories, below is a brief description of each category.

Identification: This gives the physical appearance of the race in general, including height, weight, and other unique racial characteristics. This is just the average for the race, of course each individual will be different.

Habitat and Culture: This describes where and how the races tend to make their homes. It also covers their general behavior and mannerisms, as well as their views towards others.

Racial Abilities: Special abilities possessed by each race, such as natural body armor or the ability to see in the infra-red spectrum.

Attribute Modifiers: This lists the strengths and weaknesses of each race.

Min/Max Attribute Ratings: Quite simply this lists the range that each races attributes can fall under. The Minimum is the starting number for each attribute. The Maximum cannot be exceeded in normal character creation. This area gets a more in depth look under Character Creation in the next chapter.

While by no means an exhaustive list of the races in the True Realms, the following are the most common races, and are suitably detailed for player characters:
