Nekron

Identification: Nekrons are a reptilian race approximately 2.1 meters tall and weighing 120 kilograms. Their most unique feature is their two pairs of arms which they can use with great efficiency. Nekrons have a smooth and scaly hide, which they like to keep moist. Their hide is most often a bluish black or gray in color. Nekrons have a thin bony ridge that begins at the base of the neck and continues down their back, ending in a strong, thick, tail.

Habitat and Culture: Nekrons live in forested and swampy areas, and they are never found far from a source of water. Nekrons rarely congregate in groups larger than ten individuals. On very rare occassions larger groups of Nekrons will gather to form a community.

They particularly enjoy the company of Karanesti and often act as perimeter guards for Karanesti encampments. They are extremely knowledgeable and tend to spend many hours in philosophical and scientific debate. They are peaceful and inquisitive, and will always give information to travellers, in exchange for any news from elsewhere in the True Realms. Nekrons prefer to spend their days lounging about in the higher branches of trees, observing the world around them and spending lots of time deep in thought. If something happens, chances are a Nekron saw it happen.

While they enjoy art and music, they are rarely artists or musicians themsleves. They prefer to appreciate the labor of love others indulge in. However, the few Nekrons that actually become artists of some form tend to be masters.

Nekrons are naturals as spies and scouts. They are very observant and have a knack for keeping out of sight if they desire to do so. Their keen eye for detail also make them great guides and trackers, altough they do like to take their time; afterall, getting there should be half the fun.

Racial Abilities: Nekrons are ambidextrous and can use all four arms with equal skill, and they don't suffer the normal penalties for using multiple weapons. They are excellent climbers and can also swim with relative ease. The tail of a Nekron is very strong and is often used in combat to topple opponents, which gives Nekrons a +1 modifier in all forms of unarmed combat. Nekrons can run on all sixes and triple their normal movement rate.

Attribute Modifiers: Nekrons are very intelligent creatures and are good sources for forgotten lore. They are quite nimble and light footed. Their appearance and high intellectual state often scares other races away.
