Druga

Identification: Drugas, or half dwarves, are a short and stocky race. They are 1.1 meters tall and weigh upwards of 75 kilograms. They have dense facial hair, which they often weave into intricate designs. Their skin is leathery and wrinkled, most often found in shades of light brown or tan. Their hands and feet are grotesquely oversized for their small bodies as are their facial features.

Habitat and Culture: Drugas are most often subterranean dwellers. They usually make their homes in caverns deep beneath the surface. Like their dwarven brothers, their caverns are like huge underground cities and they are constantly excavating deeper into the rock. When living within cities they tend to inhabit basements and catacombs as that reminds them the most of their ancestral homes.

Family is extremely important to a Druga. Clans are formed by the joining of extended families into larger groups, much like the Anuir. To be accepted into a clan of Druga is the highest honor they can bestow upon outsiders. Drugas are a very proud race and loyal to the point of death. This loyalty is never easily won, but once acquired it is honored throughout that Druga's clan.

Drugas are very hard working and are often critical of other races for their lack of effort and craftsmanship. Druga weapons and armor are highly prized throughout the True Realms. The forges of most Druga strongholds burn day and night all year long.

The Drugas respect the Anuir more than any other race in the True Realms. This is because of the Anuir's high level of honor and respect for family loyalty. There are some clans of Drugas that have forged strong alliances with Anuir clans, with Druga clans residing in their subterranean holds and the Anuir on the ground above.

Druga are also have high respect for warriors, honing their skills whenever they can. In their labyrinth homes, these skills are invaluable as enemies are lurking around every dark corner. Prowess in combat ranks only behind ones skill at the forge.

Racial Abilities: Drugas possess the ability to see in the infra-red spectrum. They also have incredible endurance and require only half the rest of other races. Drugs, poison, and disease have little effect on Drugas due to their strong immune systems.

Attribute Modifiers: Drugas are slightly stronger than average and are extremely robust and healthy. Their small size makes them awkward runners. Their pride and strict honor codes make them less favorable to other races.
