The finals set up as Two time defending champion Virginia Coady out to prove
herself against the field. Her primary opponent would seem to have been
John Jones, as this would be his third finals at GenCon. John Pendry's best
finish was 8th last year, and Fred Lloyd had yet to win a game at a World
Championship.

On to the finals:
Turn 1:
Keiser started in play, slowing the game down considerably.
Peter Finnegan (Lloyd) Rends Keiser.
K'To the Oracle (Coady) kills Griff Murphy (Jones)
K'To the Oracle (Coady) kills Hunts for Blood (Pendry) when HfB attacked.
Peter Finnegan passed on his second action.
Scores: Lloyd 3, Coady 2, Jones 0, Pendry 0
Turn 2:
Eilif the White (Jones) is attacked several times.
The first, Coady's Bison Spirit died at Eilif's hands.
For his action, Eilif killed Pendry's Marko Mudspeaker.
Peter Finnegan then attempted to kill Eilif, without result.
The Bane Host Mother then corrupted the Venerable Cactus Spirit.
Gaia truly began to cry!
Scores: Jones 9, Lloyd 3, Coady 2, Pendry 0

Turn 3:
Peter Finnegan uses Spirit Ward to discard the now corrupted VCS.
Wilhelm Nighthunter (Pendry) attacks the now regenerating Eilif and fails to
kill him.
K'To the Oracle dies attempting to kill Neon Elemental #1
Rronuhn (Lloyd) attacks and slaughters poor helpless Marko Mudspeaker
(Jones)
Scores: Jones 9, Lloyd 4, Coady 2, Pendry 0

Turn 4:
Arthur Getty (Pendry) gets the combo draw. He kills Scent of Blood with
Stalling For Time x2, Collar for the Mongrel, and Bear Hug.
Gillian Fangs First (Lloyd) kills Neon Elemental #1.
Roach Spirit (Coady) failed to kill the Disruptor.
Gillian Fangs First (Lloyd) kills Neon Elemental #2 with 2nd action from All
out Assault.
BHM corrupts Vulture spirit.
Scores: Lloyd 16, Jones 9, Pendry 7, Coady 2

Turn 5:
More Keiser.
Bonebreaker (Pendry) failed to kill the Disruptor.
Roach Spirit (Coady) failed to kill the Disruptor.
Tara Spirit-Runner (Jones) kills the now weakened Disruptor.
Peter Finnegan (Lloyd) kills Kesier again.
BHM corrupts all three of Coady's Roach Spirits.
Scores: Lloyd 19, Jones 15, Pendry 7, Coady 2

Turn 6:
It become clear that the game will end soon, and the players choose their
alphas carefully.
Bonebreaker for Pendry, Ulf Hammarskald for Lloyd, Tara? For Jones, and
Hunts-By-Neon for Coady.
Bonebreaker (Pendry) goes first due to Monkey King and attacks Ulf
Hammarskald (Lloyd). The attack is successful, giving Pendry 12 points.
Hunts, making her first appearance in the Hunting Grounds today, decides to
go for the dramatically weakened Gillian Fangs First. Gillian has 1 health
remaining.
The combat does not go well for Hunts, and Gillian not only lives, but
defeats the Galliard for 9 points and the victory.
At the end of the game, the Bane Host Mother was still turning out spirit
shells of former Gaia spirits with no intervention from any of the Garou.
No attacks were declared on the BHM during the finals.

Final Score: Lloyd 28, Jones 15, Pendry 12, Coady 2
(Wyrm kills: Lloyd 18, Jones 6, Pendry 0, Coady 0)

Congratulations to our new Rage Tribal War World Champion: Fred Lloyd.
Given the choice between Corinna (x2), Corrupted Blight Child, Neon
Elemental (x4), Disruptor, Cries of Death, Delilah, Sprints with Wind, Bane
Host Mother, Mind Eater, Keiser (x2), Marko Mudspeaker, and Hunts by Neon,
Fred chose:

Bane Host Mother

The list of dead characters is now:
Stillwater Packmother (GC 1999)
Hogling (Belgium)
Killian Quick-Talker (Origins)
Brian the Iceman (CTW)
Bane Host Mother (GC 2001)

It looks like Wyrm is what is out making news.

Storyline implications:
(These are not canon, merely my observations. Fenris gets to do the story
stuffs.)

Hmm, seems that the Garou still cannot stop fighting amongst themselves.
The Get of Fenris are leading the way with Gillian's pack killing 72 of 91
renown being Wyrm, but the numbers go down hill from there.
The Theurge pack was seen cohorting with Banes in a very un-Gaia like
manner.
One of the Get packs had most of its kills recorded by Human Allies,
including the very dangerous assault squad known as Vegas Showgirls.
Reports have them killing a Bane Host Mother in one shot.
