Songs of Fire, AKA Black Dagger, keeper of the gargantuan WW Rage Rulings and longtime Rage supporter, went right to the top in finding out what the future may hold for Rage, now that the license has gone back to White Wolf.

Many kudos to Fenris Lorsrai for this new, excellent article. It is
well-written, and accurately hits the right points.

I emailed White Wolf about the feasibility of seeing Rage published again.
This is the text of the letter I received from Steve Wieck (president of WW):

Unfortunately the market for Rage is pretty well wrecked right now and it needs
some down time for folks to forget how poorly some of the 5 Rings Rage stuff
sold before we could economically think about releasing new Rage sets.

The help that many of the Silver Packs have given Rage over its incarnations
lifespan is truly appreciated here at WW and I hope your pack continues to
enjoy the game. If or when the time comes that we could revive Rage, we'll make
sure everyone knows.

Now I need to decide which of my decks to bring to GenCon - I don't have room
for all 13 Rage decks :)

A few thoughts of your humble editor on things as they stand: White Wolf has announced they are getting back into the card-publishing business with the reprinting of Vampire: the Eternal Struggle. They have the license back, and appear to have left the door open to printing more cards. The next expansion of RALV has been designed and playtested, some 150 cards of the infamous Vegas Edition. The playtesters have so far honored their Non-Disclosure Agreements, and there's good reason to continue. If Rage is to make a comeback, the simplest (and quickest) way will be to launch an already-designed set. Unfortunately, this may lose appeal if the set has been released to the public domain. Hold on to your NDAs, kids. I've got a feeling this particular card game of big furry critters isn't quite done yet.
