I gotta say, I had a blast at the Stones River Challenge. It was great to put a face with some of those names I've seen over the years. Special congratulations to tribemate Walks-With-Weaver (John Jones) for his impressive showing with a Glasswalker deck. You can see his deck over in the Toybox. Here's Dances With Shadows with a breakdown of the events:

    It's over!

The Stones River Challenge II ended Saturday night, and it was a blast!
We all had a ton of fun, and a lot of new friends were made I think.

The three main Septs of the Garou Nation showed in force, with a total
attendance of 24 entries. This was five more than last year. Represented
were the Sept of the Green Dragon, the Sept of Soaring Peace Caern, and my
own Stones River Sept. Many of us were old faces from last year, but there
were a lot of new ones, with a few cubs thrown in as well.

We played three regular rounds followed by a fourth round consisting of
the top three finalists. the competition was definitely up a couple of
notches from last year, with overall renown totals much higher on the
average. The highest renown total scored in a single game was 26 renown,
with scores in the 20+ not uncommon. The lowest overall scored for the
three regular rounds was 10, while the highest scored before the finals was
    a wopping 62!

When the dust settled, there were three champions ready to do battle,
amazingly enough, one from each Sept. Thomas Cory, aka Guiness represented
the Green Dragon Sept with the Fianna as the first seed with 62 Renown.
Next came John Jones aka Walks With Weaver hailing from the Soaring Peace
Caern weilding a Glasswalkers (yes, Glasswalkers. Iron Riders tribe card,
but you get the meaning) deck and coming into the fray with 60 renown.
From the Stones River Sept, your humble servant, Dances With Shadows (me)
brought the power of the Wendigo to the table along with 54 renown.

When the final battle began, The entire room watched with intense
interest. I was the first one to fall to Thomas' Fianna, and placed third
place with only 6 renown scored. John lasted longer, and fought well, but
also finished with only 9 renown scored. Thomas placed first and won the
last game with a total of 20 renown. Huzzah, Thomas!

When it came time to hand out the prizes, Thomas got first pick and chose
the Skull fetish and one of the card prizes offered. Next, John picked out
the moonthrasher knife and a card prize. I recieved with pride a Garou
statue sculpted of last year's winner, the Green Dragon's own Beowulf
    Dracosanni and a card prize.

Lastly, and certainly not least, came the special honor award given to the
garou whom we feel showed the most honor, wisdom and glory. The judges for
this were the three winners and together we decided to give it to Leslie
England. She recieved the Bone Knife Talen crafted by Fenris Lorsrai, a
card prize, and a certificate for teeth. Leslie had little experience with
playing Rage, and was given a crash course by David Lindsey in order to
help us fill a slot for which she volunteered for. Thanks again Leslie!
Despite her unfamiliartiy with the game, she scored well with a total of 49
renown for three games, placing 6th overall. Well done!

After the recquisite picture taking and congratulating, many of us went
out to dinner for a well deserved Revel. A great end to a great evening.

And now, the standings and renown of all the participants:

Huzzah to all the Garou who made it to the tourney. A good showing was
    made by all.

Pictures and video clips will be coming in the near future from various
sources, and Fenris Lorsrai will be posting the prequel story to the
tourney on her site along with the promos handed out (forgot to ask about
that, Fenris). I am working on the ending story based on the tourney
results and will post it here and elsewhere when I am done. Lastly,
concerning this, can I get a list of the real and garou names of all the
participants sent to me privately from the Sept leaders? Some I remember,
some I do not, and I want to make sure I get them right in the story.

Well, that's my report. Next year's tourney is slated for the Green
Dragon gaming store in Charleston, SC around the same time next year, the
weekend closest to April 1rst. Hope to see you all there!
