Animate Dead

  • Level: Target 8

  • Duration: 1 day plus 1 for every success point
  • Casting Time: 10 turns

  • The caster can animate a single corpse, humanoid or smaller, with this spell. The zombie is under complete control of the caster and cannot act on its own. If the caster should double the required target number, the animation is permanent.

    Deadly Mist

  • Level: Target 8
  • Range: 10 Meters
  • Duration: 5 turns
  • Casting Time: 2 turns

  • This spell creates a reddish fog about the caster. Anything caught in this fog suffers 2 points of damage per success point. Anyone dying this way will rise as a zombie under the caster's control.

    Death Touch

  • Level: Target 6
  • Range: Touch
  • Duration: Instant
  • Casting Time: 1 turn

  • This spell deals 1 point of damage to a single target per success point. Living creatures that take damage from this spell take an additional 1 point per success point of damage the following turn.

    Feign Death

  • Level: Target 6
  • Range: Touch
  • Duration: 1 day
  • Casting Time: 1 turn

  • This spell puts the target in a state of suspended animation. To all examinations the target appears dead. The target is fully aware of their surroundings and can break the trance at any time.

    Kill

  • Level: Target 14
  • Range: Touch
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Casting Time: 1 turn

  • This spell will effectively kill any one creature. The spell has one drawback, every time it is used the caster's constitution is lowered by one.

    Sacrifice

  • Level: Target 10
  • Range: Touch
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Casting Time: 1 day

  • This spell needs a victim to be slain at the end of the ritual. If successfully cast, the caster will receive one point of essence permanently. If the spell fails, the caster loses one point of essence permanently. The caster's essence can never be raised above +4 this way.

    Shatter Soul

  • Level: Target 9
  • Range: Touch
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Casting Time: 2 turns

  • This spell will literally shatter the target's soul. This spell can only be cast on a creature that is dying. The spell performs the act of making it impossible to recall the creature's spirit or resurrect the being.

    Spirit Cage

  • Level: Target 7
  • Range: 2 meters
  • Duration: 10 turns
  • Casting Time: 2 turns

  • This spell will create an invisible barrier that will lock a summoned spirit in place. While in this cage the spirit must answer all questions asked by the caster truthfully.

    Summon Spirit

  • Level: Target 7 plus 1 for every year after death
  • Range: 1 meter
  • Duration: 5 turns
  • Casting Time: 6 turns

  • This spell allows the caster to summon the ghostly form of someone long since dead. The caster needs something that once belonged to the deceased in order to cast the spell. The apparition can only answer questions, but they have been known to lie at times.

    Siphon Soul

  • Level: Target 8
  • Range: Touch
  • Duration: 6 turns
  • Casting Time: 2 turns

  • This spell will drain a target's essence. Each time the caster touches a target, that creature loses 1 essence point. If the creature dies, they rise as a zombie; otherwise the points will return after a full day's rest. The stolen essence points can be used by the caster until the end of the day, thereby making the caster's spells more powerful. If the target's essence drops below -4, the target dies.

    Vampyre's Clutch

  • Level: Target 6
  • Range: Touch
  • Duration: 4 turns
  • Casting Time: 1 turn

  • This spell drains the target of one body point per success point and transfers this to the caster. The caster can gain body up to their maximum permanently. Anything over the caster's maximum body level will dissipate after one day.
